Dry NeedlingDry Needling is the use of sterile single-use stainless-steel needles. 'Dry' because no fluid is injected. The needle is inserted into muscle trigger points, ligament or tendon tissue to treat spasm, altered muscle control and pain.
Known benefits are immediate reduction of muscle trigger points and acid build up. Dry needling also activates the brain’s inbuilt pain control centre to control symptoms and enhance well-being. Dry needling can be useful as part of a treatment package for various conditions such as headache, TMD/Jaw pain, tendon dysfunction. |
